Classic Tzatziki Sauce


1/2 large cucumber - grated (about 1/3 cup)

4-5 cloves of garlic (minced)

1 1/2 cups fullest fat Greek Yogurt (I used 2% or 5% if I can find it)

1-2 teaspoons Fresh Dill (chopped)

Squeeze of lemon juice

Salt & Pepper to taste

Grate cucumber and place in sieve to let excess water drain (at least 30 minutes)

Combined yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon, salt & pepper. Mix well and taste. DO NOT ADD DILL. Fresh dill is very strong. I add all of the other ingredients and taste then slowly add in the fresh chopped dill. I used around 1 teaspoon fresh chopped dill for mine.

Refrigerate (better if you do this for at least 1 hour). Serve and enjoy!
